About Mr. Hornung
Mr. Hornung is a Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He completed his higher surgical training in the northwest, gaining expertise in general and colorectal surgery at all the major tertiary centres. Mr. Hornung completed clinical research at University Hospital South Manchester investigating the pathophysiology of pelvic floor pathology and undertook a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgery in Yorkshire.
Mr. Hornung is the Lead for Colorectal Cancer at Manchester Royal Infirmary and is currently developing the state-of-the-art robotic colorectal service at the hospital.
Mr. Hornung has published widely and presented at both national and international meetings. He is actively involved in research and recruits patients for a number of national multicentre clinical trials.
