About Mr Samuel Ford
Mr. Samuel Ford holds the position of a full-time Consultant Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, specializing in general, upper gastrointestinal, and sarcoma surgery. He completed his training in general and upper GI surgery in the South West, and in 2014, after finishing his training, he pursued further specialized fellowships in sarcoma surgery in Birmingham and Milan.
Having earned a PhD in cancer biology from the University of Birmingham, Mr. Ford spent three years as the Cancer Research UK Clinical Research Fellow. His research focus revolves around optimizing outcomes for patients with soft tissue sarcoma, and he has actively contributed to international consensus statements and published papers on the management of sarcoma and gastrointestinal stromal tumours.
Additionally, Mr. Ford serves as an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Birmingham. Beyond his expertise in soft tissue sarcoma, he takes a keen interest in neuroendocrine tumors and gastrointestinal stromal tumors. Furthermore, he specializes in the management of benign diseases, particularly hiatal hernias, acid reflux, gallstones, abdominal wall hernias, and lipomas.
Mr. Ford has a specialized interest in upper GI surgery, encompassing laparoscopic cholecystectomy, anti-reflux surgery, and hiatal hernia repair. He provides a comprehensive range of operative techniques for repairing abdominal wall hernias, including laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair (TEP).
Specializing in the surgical management of soft tissue sarcomas, neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), and gastrointestinal tumors (GIST), Mr. Ford frequently encounters patients with lumps and bumps, including lipomas, as part of his role as a sarcoma surgeon.

About Mr. Jaunoo
Mr. Jaunoo completed his medical degree at St. Bartholomew’s & The Royal London School of Medicine. During his undergraduate studies, he dedicated a year to laboratory-based research focused on pancreatic cancer. His postgraduate surgical training took place in the West Midlands, encompassing invaluable experiences in liver transplantation, organ retrieval, hepatobiliary surgery, and esophagogastric cancer surgery at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Recognizing his exceptional contributions to medical knowledge, Mr. Jaunoo earned a Master of Surgery degree with distinction from the University of Edinburgh for his postgraduate research endeavors. Subsequently, he served as a Senior Clinical Fellow in oesophagogastric surgery at Oxford University Hospitals for a period of two years before assuming the role of Consultant Surgeon.
Mr. Jaunoo is the visionary behind the establishment of the Warwickshire Surgical Research Group, an initiative dedicated to advancing surgical research. His commitment to scholarly pursuits is evident through his numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributions to several book chapters.
In addition to his research interests, Mr. Jaunoo is deeply passionate about medical education. He has had the privilege of teaching and examining medical students at esteemed universities including Brighton, Warwick, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Bristol, and Oxford. His dedication to teaching excellence has been recognized with two nominations for the prestigious ‘surgical tutor of the year’ award at Oxford University Medical School.

About Mr. Kumar
Mr Yogesh Kumar specializes in laparoscopic general and upper GI surgery, with a particular focus on gallstone disease, abdominal wall and groin hernia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, and hiatus hernia. Mr Kumar also perform procedures to remove lumps and bumps from the body, as well as key surgery for acute appendicitis and ruptured stomach or duodenal ulcers.
Mr Kumar has an impressive track record, having completed over 500 laparoscopic cholecystectomies and over 150 laparoscopic inguinal and abdominal wall hernia repairs. Despite being a relatively new consultant in the NHS, Mr Kumar continue to expand his experience, particularly in laparoscopic antireflux and hiatus hernia surgery.
Mr Kumar is a substantive consultant upper GI surgeon at Sandwell Hospital, West Birmingham, where his primary area of expertise cantered on acid-reflux disease and hiatus hernias. Mr Kumar’s medical qualifications and surgical training were obtained in India, and they further honed his skills through advanced surgical training in various Yorkshire hospitals. During this period, he developed a keen interest in keyhole operations for gallstone problems and abdominal wall procedures. To bolster his expertise, Mr Kumar underwent additional training in a well-established UGI cancer and Bariatric unit at Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, Hull, before obtaining specialist GMC registration.
Currently, Mr Kumar holds the position of business rota manager for surgical registrars and foundation year doctors at Sandwell Hospital, West Bromwich. Additionally, he is an educational and clinical supervisor for specialty registrars and foundation year doctors, contributing to the development of future medical professionals.
Mr Kumar dedicated two years of his professional career in surgical research in the field of pancreatic cancer and obtained a higher MD research degree from UCL, London in 2009. Mr Kumar has around 13 publications in peer-reviewed journals with various presentations related to his research at national and international level.

About Mr. Mobarak
Mr. Dham Mobarak is a fully accredited specialist consultant surgeon listed on the General Medical Council’s specialist register for Upper Gastro-Intestinal and Laparoscopic surgery. He currently holds the position of Consultant at the City and Sandwell Hospitals NHS Trust in Birmingham, UK. In addition to his NHS role, Mr. Mobarak also serves as a consultant at several private healthcare institutions, including the Priory Private Hospital, Edgbaston Hospital (Circle Group), Little Aston Spire Hospital, and the Westbourne Centre (Ramsay Healthcare).
